Breaking Free : From Civil Servant To Creator With The Transformative Power Of Samadhi
Hey beautiful souls,
I am Thalia, Founder of Thalia & Co.
This morning, during my meditation, in a moment of beatitude and deep peace, I had the vision to speak to you about one of the keys that allowed me to forge my path to you and reconnect with my source. This precious key is Samadhi.
Just a short time ago, as you know, I worked as a civil servant. My professional life had become unbearable, dull, monotonous, and meaningless, trapped in a whirlwind that distanced me further from my essence each day. My mind and soul seemed to be engulfed by darkness. At that moment, I believed my light was stolen, frozen, like raw metal, without shine or warmth. And it was then that Samadhi entered my life, in an almost divine way, to remind me of the silent power of anchoring, that inner strength that dispels the shadows and allows the light that resides within us to be revealed.

Beyond the Chaos, the State of Union
Perhaps you have already heard the term Samadhi. It is often wrongly associated with mystical ecstasy or a state of trance reserved for great yogis. But absolutely not; Samadhi is accessible to everyone. It is like a superpower that allows us to unlock keys to a whole new collection of skills. It is literally the access to a state of complete bliss and unity with the universe that is reached through meditation and other yogic practices. Literally, it means the equanimity of the intellect (sama: balance, dhi: intellect). It is the eighth and final limb of Yoga, the state of total union: the moment when the meditator becomes one with the object of their contemplation, or, more simply, with the Present.
In the whirlwind of my life, facing invisibility in the eyes of others and my incessant doubts, this teaching was one of my life rafts. Samadhi taught me to cease the persistent struggle against external chaos to anchor myself in an unchangeable inner clarity. It taught me how to let go of the ego, at least intermittently, which seeks validation, to connect to a stable source of strength, independent of what others think or do.

The Revelation of Samadhi: An Unforgettable Road Trip
There are encounters that mark a lifetime, and the one with Samadhi is one of them. It was a great friend, a luminous soul, who introduced me to this profound teaching. I had heard about Samadhi here and there, read a few words about it, but I had never taken the time to explore the concept. It was a few years ago, under a radiant June sun, in the heart of a magical day, that my friend offered me the precious gift of introducing me to the teachings of Samadhi.
We were on a girls' road trip, those timeless parentheses where we forget the clocks and simply let ourselves be carried by the moment. After hours of laughter, confidences, and sharing, the energy had calmed down, like a gentle breeze after a storm. We had just parked by a river, for a simple and luminous picnic, with healthy dishes we had cooked the night before. Then, as we got back on the road, a slow and comforting silence set in. It was then, in that suspended space between two worlds, that she suggested we play a recording of the Samadhi teachings.
I had come across the name Samadhi in the past, heard a few enigmatic quotes, but it had never resonated so deeply. This time, it was not about reading, but about a pure and raw sonic experience. From the first notes, the voice filled the space, and we stopped trying to understand. We simply let the words wash over us, like gentle yet powerful waves that brushed against the soul.
The car's cabin transformed into a sacred cocoon. We needed nothing more than the two of us, our synchronized breaths, our hearts in tune. The outside world, though so present, became an extension of this sacred space, where every word resonated deeply within us. The teachings, carrying an ancient wisdom, penetrated every fiber of my being.
I remember the intensity of the moment: the words followed one another, captivating, precise, and we let ourselves be carried away in a flow of total and gentle plenitude. It was as if time had been suspended, not frozen, but paused just for us. The air vibrated with a new energy, a silent intelligence that permeated everything that was. And it was there, in that total immersion, that I understood. What I was hearing was not just words; it was the key to another level of consciousness.
It was more than a simple discovery: it was a revelation, a flash in the fog of my life. A certainty settled within me: this experience would change my trajectory forever.
If I am sharing this inner journey with you today, it is because the freedom rediscovered through Samadhi is not a secret reserved for a privileged few. It is a universal possibility, accessible to each of us. Samadhi allowed me, among other things, to transform my sorrows into tangible and luminous creations. And today, I want to transmit this wisdom to you, through simple, yet profoundly conscious gestures, like wearing a piece of jewelry that helps you connect to your essence. Because it is in this way, by reconnecting with yourself, that you will learn to radiate, not despite your shadows, but thanks to them.

A Few Teachings of Samadhi
The Invisible and Awakening
In the Samadhi teaching, one of the fundamental truths lies in the recognition of the Invisible, that silent and subtle space that surrounds us and yet often escapes our usual perceptions. Awakening does not solely reside in what we see, but in what we feel beyond the surface. It's about letting the filters of the ego and social conditionings fade away to touch the very essence of our being. Through this practice, we learn to perceive what cannot be seen, to hear what cannot be heard, to feel the truth that vibrates beyond forms. The Invisible, far from being an absence, becomes a presence. A full silence, a space where wisdom and infinite peace reside. Awakening, in this light, is not a state of mental comprehension, but a state of being, an expansion of consciousness that transcends the material world. At every moment, the Invisible invites us to open the eyes of the heart, to see what is beyond the visible, and to let this truth transform us deeply.
More concretely:
- The Invisible: This refers to everything that escapes our physical senses and our rational perception. This includes aspects of our reality that are not perceptible by sight, hearing, touch, etc. For example, energy, subtle emotions, intuition, spiritual connection, or even the mind. These are immaterial, yet real aspects.
- Silent and Subtle Space: This evokes an environment that exists outside the noise and tumult of daily life, a space that is calm, deep, and often imperceptible, but which surrounds us constantly. It is in this space that one can connect to deeper realities of existence.
- Often Escapes Our Usual Perceptions: This means that, in our daily lives, we are often so focused on what is visible, tangible, and immediate (what can be touched, seen, heard) that we ignore or do not pay attention to what exists beyond that the Invisible.
For me, nature is one of the most powerful means to perceive the invisible. It invites us to step out of our mind, to see beyond appearance. In nature, you will notice that the energies are powerful and anchoring is almost inevitable. Take time regularly to immerse yourself in nature: whether it's a walk in a city park, a hike in the forest, or even a few minutes spent in a garden.
Close your eyes, listen to the wind, feel the earth under your feet, simply! You will feel a deeper connection to the invisible world around you.

Creating from Silence
In the Samadhi teaching, one of the greatest powers lies in the ability to create from silence, that inner space where the mind calms down and the soul finds its clarity. Silence is not just the absence of noise; it is a state of total presence, a fertile ground where ideas are born and where intuition can express itself freely. This silence is a place where one can reconnect with oneself, far from distractions and external expectations. In this space, it becomes possible to create not from the agitated mind, but from the pure essence of the being, from the deep source that vibrates within each of us. It is in this calm that true creativity originates, a place where inspiration flows effortlessly, because it is no longer hindered by judgments or limiting thoughts.
More concretely:
- Inner silence is not a void, but a living space, full of potential.
- It is a place where answers emerge even before we have asked the right questions.
When we allow ourselves to take a break from our hectic lives, to stop chasing ideas or goals, we create the possibility for creativity to express itself spontaneously. This silence invites us to:
- Let go of our expectations.
- Release our need for control.
- Welcome what comes, without trying to force things.
Creating from silence does not mean inaction, but rather a re-alignment with our essence before acting. It is in this calm that the purest and deepest ideas emerge, because they come from the heart, not the mind.
By being in this state of presence, we become the conscious creators of our own reality, capable of materializing our deepest visions.
For me, this state of creative silence is the one I cultivated in the creation process of Thalia & Co.:
- Every piece, every jewel, every collection I select or design, comes from this silent place.
- It is a space of pure inspiration where I allow matter and energy to meet.
Silence is not the absence of creation, but the fertile ground from which everything flows. It is in this space that I learned to listen to the true voice of my heart, the one that guides every creative gesture with gentleness and confidence. By immersing yourselves in silence, you too can feel this creative energy take shape, free from all constraints.

The Courage of Clarity
In the Samadhi teaching, one of the most powerful practices consists of cultivating the Courage of Clarity. This courage resides not only in external action but in inner clarity. It’s about daring to see things as they are, without filters or illusions.
This courage demands a profound vulnerability, because it means looking within oneself, facing our truths, even those we would prefer to ignore. It takes courage to free ourselves from the illusions that keep us in the comfort of denial. It takes courage to accept what emerges from within, even when it seems disturbing or uncomfortable.
More concretely:
Clarity is not found in the agitation of daily life. It emerges in moments of inner silence and calm, when we stop running from our fears and uncertainties.
- Clarity is an act of courage. It forces us to confront our shadows, our doubts, and our flaws.
- It requires facing what is, rather than staying in the illusion of what we would like it to be.
This courage of clarity is a constant process of inner cleansing, where we let fall the veils that obscure our perception. This involves :
- Setting aside external distractions.
- Taking the time to anchor ourselves in the present.
- Seeing what is, without judgment or resistance.
Clarity is also a creative power: When we see clearly, we act with precision and intention. Every choice becomes more aligned with our essence, because we are no longer guided by external influences, but by a clear inner vision.
This courage of clarity is not limited to a one-time act. It is a daily commitment to live in transparency with oneself, to make conscious decisions, and to make choices that are in harmony with our deep truth.
For me, this courage of clarity was essential in the creation of Thalia & Co.:
- It was by being completely transparent and true to my desires, my values, and my aspirations that I was able to give birth to this company.
- Clarity allowed me to choose the most authentic directions, without letting myself be diverted by external pressures or the expectations of others.
When we have the courage to face our own truth, we allow clarity to guide every decision, every action. And this is how we can truly create, with intention and power.

Welcoming the Shadow as a Guide
In the Samadhi teaching, one of the keys to profound transformation lies in the acceptance and integration of the Shadow. Contrary to what one might believe, the shadow is not an enemy to flee, but a powerful guide, a part of us that invites us to a deeper understanding of ourselves.
- The Shadow represents everything we suppress, what we don’t want to see in ourselves.
- It encompasses our fears, our wounds, our unresolved emotions, and sometimes even our greatest talents, remaining in the shadow of rejection.
Instead of running from these parts of ourselves, the Samadhi teaching invites us to welcome them with gentleness and compassion. It is in this process of acceptance that we can heal, grow, and reconnect with our full power.
The Shadow, far from being a curse, is a teacher, an inner voice that helps us recognize the aspects of ourselves we have often neglected or rejected. It shows us the way to reconciliation with our humanity, in all its complexity.
More concretely:
Accepting the shadow means accepting the idea that we are not perfect, and that this imperfection is an integral part of our essence. This invites us to:
- Face our flaws, our wounds, and our vulnerabilities.
- Let go of the need to always be strong, always right, always impeccable.
- Recognize that our weaknesses are not obstacles, but open doors to a new level of consciousness.
Welcoming the shadow is understanding that it contains the seeds of our transformation. It is by facing our fears and passing through them that we can discover a hidden strength that can only emerge through the integration of these parts of ourselves.
For me, this process was essential in the creation of Thalia & Co.:
- It was by welcoming my shadows, by accepting my doubts and past failures, that I was able to free myself from the chains of perfection.
- By reconciling with my vulnerability, I found an authentic creativity, more free and more true.
When we accept our shadow as a guide, we open ourselves to a path of healing and transformation. The shadow teaches us to embrace our humanity, to evolve without judgment, and to create with wisdom.
Of course, nothing is perfect. It is a process. The process of a lifetime!

The Gesture of Self-Love
In another teaching of Samadhi, one of the most powerful acts we can perform is the Gesture of Self-Love. This love does not reside in gentle words or kind thoughts towards ourselves, but in concrete actions that deeply nourish our being. Self-love is not limited to self-acceptance in easy moments. It is also expressed in the way we treat ourselves in difficult moments, when we feel vulnerable, in pain, or in doubt.
The gesture of self-love is taking care of oneself, without guilt, recognizing oneself as worthy of attention and respect. It is giving oneself the space to heal, to nourish oneself, to rest, even when external demands pressure us. This gesture does not seek to flee pain, but to accept it with kindness, to give oneself the possibility of repairing wounds without judgment.
More concretely:
Self-love is a daily practice, a constant choice to act in favor of our well-being. This gesture takes form in simple, but powerful actions :
- Listening to our needs, whether they are physical, emotional, or mental.
- Setting boundaries to preserve our energy and inner peace.
- Offering ourselves moments of pleasure, without waiting to be perfect, or to have accomplished everything society expects of us.
The gesture of self-love is also learning to say no when necessary, and to say yes to what truly nourishes us, without guilt. It is freeing ourselves from the idea that we must always be in constant action to deserve love. On the contrary, this love grows in moments of peace and rest, in the ability to tell oneself, “I have done enough, I deserve to be well with myself.”
For me, the gesture of self-love was fundamental in the creation of Thalia & Co.:
- It was by taking care of myself, by listening to my deep needs and respecting myself in my moments of fatigue or doubt, that I was able to build this company.
- This gesture allowed me to reconnect with my creativity and to create with confidence, knowing that I am worthy of success and radiance.
Self-love is not a selfish act, but a solid foundation on which we can build our life, our dreams, and our projects. This gesture allows us to live in inner harmony and to radiate this love towards others.

Epilogue: Peace Rediscovered
Over the course of my journey, I quickly realized that inner peace is not something that is achieved once and for all. It is neither perfect nor absolute. It is a process, sometimes chaotic, often imperfect, but always nurtured by the practice of Samadhi. Peace does not reside in a fixed state, but in our capacity to reconcile with what is, with our moments of shadow as well as light. Yes, sometimes, I find myself in a tumult within, facing my doubts, my fears, my failures. But increasingly often, I feel this deep peace that runs through me, this calm presence that helps me stay the course, even when life tests me.
Samadhi did not erase my inner conflicts or suppress my imperfections. But it taught me to welcome discomfort, to look at it with kindness, and to let that inner silence guide me at every step. It helped me see that peace is not an ideal to be achieved, but a daily path, often winding, but always illuminated by the light of consciousness.
Peace rediscovered is not a destination, but a constant movement towards self-acceptance, with its fragilities and strengths. It is about:
- Facing difficult moments without seeking to flee or avoid them, but integrating them as a part of my transformation process.
- Living with what is, without judgment, without pressure to always be in control or in a state of perfection.
- Welcoming imperfections as opportunities for growth and healing, and not as flaws to be corrected.
Every day, I choose to return to this practice of Samadhi, even when life shakes me up. It is in this inner silence that I find the peace that allows me to weather the storms and continue to move forward, without expecting everything to be perfect.
For me, peace rediscovered is a precious ally in the creation of Thalia & Co. It is not perfection that guides me, but the freedom to follow my path, even when it is imperfect or uncertain. Samadhi simply helps me anchor myself in the present moment, not to be overwhelmed by anxious thoughts or external expectations, but to stay connected to my inner truth.
Peace rediscovered is, ultimately, the possibility of living fully, even in imperfection, knowing that every step is an invitation to grow and evolve. It is a continuous process of healing and alignment, and it is by welcoming every moment, with its highs and lows, that we can truly find lasting serenity.
But on this beautiful autumn day, one thing I would like to tell you is that:
- Your light is non-negotiable.
- Take it back, anchor it.
- The path to freedom begins now.
And my ultimate wish for you is that you can embrace every aspect of your being, with kindness and courage, and find a certain peace that is born from this acceptance.
