Starting Over to Shine: From Public Service to the Rise of Thalia & Co.

There are moments in life when the façade of success can no longer mask the inner erosion. We can build our life on the solid foundation of comfort and professional security, yet a more intimate truth insists itself: the soul feels confined. It is the alarm signal of a silent fatigue, a profound weariness of the spirit that whispers this brutal realization: 'You no longer belong here.' This is not an escape, but a call for self-loyalty, a necessary audacity to reinvent oneself and give one's life the resonance of its deepest being.
A Journey Through Public Service
For nearly fifteen years, I served with honor and pride within the Canadian Public Service, including over a decade in Civilian Human Resources at National Defence, and subsequently as a personnel security analyst at the RCMP. In addition, I spent more than two decades immersed in the military family life and the Canadian Armed Forces community. This journey, rich in learning and encounters, allowed me to develop discipline, empathy, and resilience. Yet, beneath this veneer of solidity, something was slowly but surely crumbling within me.
It is difficult to explain what one feels when one gives tirelessly and no longer feels acknowledged. When you strive to do well, to support, to build, and to give everything you have, but in return, you receive only silence, indifference, or worse, discredit. All of this eventually weighs heavier than the successes that no one truly sees in the end. It is a slow erosion of the self. We wake up every morning wondering what the purpose of it all is, and little by little, we feel the inner light diminish.
After years of introspection, this was no longer a simple loss of motivation, nor a mere whim; it was a matter of survival. When the soul no longer feels seen, when love and recognition cease to flow, it becomes vital to leave before being completely lost. Some decisions are not made with reason, but with the heart. This heart that cries out that it has had enough of dying a slow, silent death, in the greatest indifference.
Therefore, on September 12, 2025, I closed that chapter to open a new one. Not out of escape, but out of loyalty to my truth. It was an act of profound liberation, but above all, a gesture of self-love—a solemn declaration that I deserved better, that I deserved to be happy, that I finally deserved to be where I was meant to be. On my X, as they say.

Giving Meaning Through Beauty
It is from this passage that Thalia & Co. was born, my online jewelry store. Not just as a simple business, but as a true rebirth of my being. A sanctuary where creativity, durability, and symbolism converge to weave narratives of humanity, inner strength, and metamorphosis. A space where each piece reflects an inner journey, an invitation to reconnect with oneself and the eternal cycles of transformation.
Every jewelry collection I create carries a sacred intention: to be a constant echo, reminding the wearer that they are unconditionally deserving of being loved, seen, and recognized. These pieces are not mere accessories; they are talismans, genuine reminders of our inherent worth, even when the mirror of the soul is clouded with uncertainty. They are there to awaken confidence, nourish the soul, and reaffirm that, no matter what, we are worthy of being celebrated in all our light.
The idea behind Thalia & Co. arose from a visceral need to reinvent myself, to finally vibrate and shine at my true value. A deep desire to rise above the malice, the injustices, the hostility, and those sometimes toxic behaviors that, too often, deprive us of our fundamental right: the right to feel safe, acknowledged in our deep value, in order to thrive in inner peace and the preservation of our physical and mental health.
After years of evolving in structures where my creativity was lost in the labyrinths of hierarchy, I wanted to build a space where every gesture, every creation, would have true meaning. Where I felt invisible, I chose to become light. Where I gave without expectation of return, I decided to create a universe where the exchange would be sincere, nourishing, and a source of genuine connection.

An Heritage of Resilience
I want to clarify that my past in the Public Service is not a burden I left behind. It is a precious heritage, built on discipline, ethics, and perseverance. Those years taught me the importance of service, but also the limits of self-sacrifice when it is not balanced by recognition.
For over twenty years, as a military family member, I learned to live with uncertainty, to constantly adapt, and to rebuild landmarks every time everything changed. This experience gave me a quiet strength: the ability to remain standing, even in the storm.
Today, this strength lives in every Thalia & Co. creation. The jewelry I offer is designed to last, not only in its quality but in the energy it carries. It accompanies, supports, and reminds. It symbolizes the resilience of those who refuse to let their light dim.

Reclaiming Your Power
To reclaim your essence, to rekindle your light: This path of transformation is not only about liberation, but about learning to forgive. Not to erase the past, but to free the soul from its invisible chains. To those who sought to extinguish your inner flame, who sowed doubt in your heart, do not carry the weight of their shadows any longer.
Lighten your burden and let your essence vibrate, for their judgments, their words, their silences have become useless baggage that you must give back to them. And every attempt to oppress your luminous soul merely reveals the darkness within the one who seeks to extinguish it.
It is time to choose yourself: no longer to fight the shadow, but to embrace the light that resides in each of us. No longer to let the gaze of others define our worth, because true royalty is found in the dignity of silence and the beauty of reconstruction.
It is in this rebirth that our crown is reclaimed, forged in resilience and deep self-trust. Every soul that, after being disparaged, dares to rise again, embodies the silent victory of the heart over the ego, the victory of the spirit that chooses to hope and finally heal.
And if these words, through my creations and my voice, can awaken that spark in you, then my mission takes on its full meaning: to resonate, deep within everyone, the promise of a possible renewal.

The Mission of Thalia & Co.
Thalia & Co. was born from a profound need for authenticity and meaning. It is addressed to all those who, one day, felt invisible, too much or not enough, stifled by environments where value is measured by conformity. It is an invitation to choose oneself, to stand tall, to wear one's light with pride.
Our mission is simple: to create jewelry collections that celebrate the beauty of the soul as much as that of the body. Pieces that remind us that softness is a strength, that vulnerability is courage, and that true elegance is born from authenticity.
Each collection is conceived as a conversation between art and the human spirit. An ode to those who have decided to no longer wait for the validation of others to exist. Because ultimately, to love oneself is to survive. And to choose oneself is to be reborn.

Towards a Bright and Sparkling Future
Today, I look back with gratitude, not for what I left behind, but for what it allowed me to become. Leaving the Public Service was an act of faith that required great courage and, above all, resilience. It gave me the strength to continue creating, and Thalia & Co. has thus become an act of life. I no longer need a title to exist. My worth no longer depends on a system or an external gaze. It is measured by the light I choose to embody and share with you.
Thalia & Co. is far more than a jewelry store; it is a space for transformation, a bridge between pain and beauty, between the past and rebirth. It is an invitation to all those who, one day, felt their soul slowly dimming: do not let anyone convince you that your radiance is bothersome. You deserve to be recognized, loved, and celebrated for who you are, not for what you give.
And if my universe can become your reminder of this truth, then my path will have been fully meaningful.

With light and gratitude,
Thalia
